Aaspirations Publishing

At Aaspirations Publishing, our mission is to build communities through books. By communities we do not mean just the local neighbourhood but people from across the world who come together by reading a particular book.

At the same time, since our books are about a particular issue or concern or teach something to change our thinking, they build communities through all the people who connect to a particular book. Take Matthew Epp’s book, ‘Hope and the Dragon’.

Not only has it drawn attention overseas it is a link for everyone; from families to school communities to hospitals to camps to children everywhere seeking to understand all about dragons and how Hope, Faith, Love and Courage can help vanquish them.

At the same time, the book reaches across all age segments and touches your heart. In every sense of the word, it fulfills our mission statement, ‘Building Communities through Books.’

Our Vision

To use our books and films as a means to an end: to draw attention to causes and issues that may have been swept aside or fall under the radar. At the same time to publish those books that teach and in some way empower us to live up to our values, beliefs and goals and enable us to achieve the full potential of our inner selves. We publish books that draw attention to a cause and by donating a part of the sale proceeds, we enable that cause and help make our world a better place.

Our Logo

Our logo represents a book that is open, and above it the flame of education, of literacy and of the joy of reading is burning brightly. The shape of the flame is reminiscent of the olden lanterns that threw light on the pages of the books that readers in the rural parts of India read. It is the visual equivalent of the Western image of studying under a streetlight and draws attention to the fact that while many of us are fluent with words and their shapes there are so many out there, who can not read or write or at best have minimal education. This is especially important for women.

Unless they are educated and in turn educate their sons and daughters on the rights and responsibilities of the individual, evils such as violence, drugs, dowry and more will continue to flourish.
